Programmed deformation of materials

ZRC® has a strong expertise in the field of the strains studies linked to the programmed deformation of materials, which guarantees the manufacture of waterproof watches at very great depth (5100M) without resorting to an helium valve or the presence of gel in the case: In addition, it also reduces the thickness of the case making the watch more comfortable to wear. Indeed, sapphire crystal, steel and/or titanium cases and ceramics do not react in the same way to pressure and temperature variations. This recognized expertise allows the brand to offer reliable, simple and effective watches.

Borrowed from the submarine airlock closing technique the case back of the ZRC® watches is composed of 2 distinct parts. A clamping ring puts pressure on the shielded back which therefore applies a vertical pressure on the gasket. Therefore the armored back remains «free» and will accompany the ambient pressure that it relays on the joint in order to balance the pressures without ever soliciting the case: By accepting the pressure the case does not twist and therefore cannot take water. This is what allows ZRC® to offer watches of such reliability with such thin cases.

Crown Protection System™
100% safety is guaranteed thanks to this exclusive strap system using retractable lugs. It is now impossible to place the watch in water without screwing the crown back into its original position. If the crown is not screwed down, the strap cannot be correctly repositioned. This effective method prevents oversights that can lead to technical difficulties.

THE Exclusive ZRC® Metal Band
The new Grands Fonds 300® is equipped with an automatic adjustable bracelet, which allows it to be worn over a diving suit. This unique embedded spring system automatically adapts to the diameter of the wearer’s wrist for unparalleled comfort. No adjustments are required, as two links on either side of the case extend to accommodate the new diameter.

Diver Clasp
The unique and exclusive clasp of the ZRC® Grands Fonds offers a non-return system and a 360° lock allowing maximum security. Developed to meet the needs of the Mine Clearance Group of the French Navy it benefits from a careful execution.
